1972 Defil Echo II

This is NOT the later "2" series (s.a. Melodia2, Rytm2, Echo2) but an early 70's (1972 to be precise) 335 copy with 12 strings (notice the difference between "II" and "2").

This Echo II (only Echo on the body, but Echo II on inside tag) has the little oval pot-guard with inscriptions on the latter end of the body. Made out of triplex and a multi layered neck with trussrod. This is one of the last Defils with serial number (not used anymore after 1973) and with the metal housed pickups. The head caries the old Defil tuners (as on the Samba, Jola,etc...) and has a layer of cherrisch-like wood on top, with an extra inlay. The neck has bindings and white plastic dot markers.
