![]() | Defil Kosmos electric guitar, made in Poland |
![]() |
|
KOSMOS (Polish Gibson Moderne - different shape of headstock, bolt-on neck ... and
not
only that...) Manufactured at the Dolnośląska Fabryka Instrumentów
Lutniczych (The Lower Silesian Factory of Luthiery) in Lubin (a city
in
western part of Poland). DEFIL exists since 1896 (as a
piano production factory then), presently not in as good economic
shape
as before though;
Kosmos guitars were manufactured during the '80-s; favourite guitar of Polish heavy metal bands.

The answer on why some Defil Kosmos have three pot's and others four...
well look at my pictures : the one (here missing the pot-knobs) with four pot's (probably vol & tone for each pu) has a output at the rear of the body; the one with the three pot's has still the hole in the rear but somehow someone eliminate the fourth pot and used that hole for the jack-output. This can be done by rewiring the electrics. |
