Jolana D-bass

Jolana D-bass was a copy of the infamous Rickenbacker 4001 bass. D-bass was one of the last Jolana models and was made at Horovice during the second half of the 80's.

Just like the Rick, D-bass features the neck-through body construction which results in good sustain and sound. We all know that Jolana used to make Les Pauls (Diamants), ES-335's (Tornado, Rubin, Studio etc.) with bolt-on necks but this time the copy was pretty authentic, even including a 860mm scale. The cool "rick" look and solid construction made it rather popular among European bands and you can still find it here and there. Fretless version of the bass was made for export only.
